El Salto
Lake El Salto is probably the most publicized Bass fishing lake in Mexico. Prior to 2008, no one had a lodge built on the lake and there were no permanent boat docks on the shores. Having owned property on the lake for 11 years, our owners decided to build a new fully modern lodge and boat dock. Our guests now enjoy the leisure of fishing their own desired schedule from the comfort of fully modern air-conditioned private rooms. If you haven’t had enough action during the day, you can fish at night from our docks and shoreline.
With our new lakeside lodge just a few steps away from the lake, our ranger boats, the only docks on the lake, our superior guides, service, and food, we offer the best overall experience and value at El Salto Lake. Most guests fly in and out of Mazatlan when fishing El Salto. It’s approximately 1.5 hour drive from the Mazatlan Airport to the lodge. Our lodge will accommodate 16 guests based on double occupancy. Most anglers average catching 40 to 80 Bass per person daily. Approximately 60% of these fish will average 3 to 6 pounds with 30% averaging 7 to 9 pounds and 10% weighing above 9 pounds up to 12 pounds. However, larger Bass are caught!
Each morning during your stay you will be awakened before dawn for coffee, juice & breakfast and escorted to the boat dock. The guides know the lake very well and will have determined the best areas, patterns and baits to throw; but we urge you to try your own confidence baits and experiences with some new stuff!! We will discuss the best patterns & baits prior to your trip.
Each day around 11:30 a.m./Noon, you will be taken back to the boat docs for lunch at our air-conditioned lakeside facility. Take a siesta after lunch, if you would like, then back out fishing around 1:30 p.m. or sooner/later, after you make arrangements with your guide and the manager. For your safety, everyone must return to the dock by dark. Then, you can shower and relax with a drink before a great evening meal. You can fish from our docks & shore at night, if you’d like.
Standard Package - 4 night / 3 Day: Includes ground transportation to and from Mazatlan or Culiacan, Mexico, 4 nights hotel lodging, 3 full days guided fishing in Ranger or Kenner bass boat, 3 excellent meals per day, fishing license, maid service, unlimited drinks (beer, margaritas, soft drinks, juice, coffee, bottled water). Not included – Commercial or private airfare, fishing tackle, guide & staff gratuities.

The parting line…
We have up-to-date rods and or rods and reels for rent at both Baccarac and El Salto. If you prefer to bring your own reels we have rods for the cost of $5 per day or if you want to rent both rods and reels the cost is $10 per day. With today’s airline regulations this has become very popular!!
If your group would like to fish on both lakes during the same trip, we will be most happy to arrange this.
All necessary travel information, suggested clothing, gear, tackle and tipping guidelines will be provided upon booking your trip.
