Impondo Safaris - Zimbabwe Africa - LeopardThe word Zimbabwe means "House of Stone".  For many years "Zim" enjoyed the reputation of being one of if not Africa's greatest Safari countries.  However, during recent years some unrest and a lot of publicity have given this country a less than desirable reputation to some safari hunters.  While the game in some parts of the country has been poached and some of the beautiful safari camps and wonderful hunting areas have closed, we still feel this country offers some excellent hunting at very fair prices.

Wes was on Safari in Zimbabwe during August 2010 and had a wonderful experience.  Some of his thoughts were "I was pleasantly surprised as to how smoothly everything was handled.  The entire gun permits process, customs clearance, entry, exit, Visa process was handled very friendly and professionally.  Not one time did I feel uncomfortable, as a matter of fact a customs agent even spoke with me as I was departing and ask ... Did you enjoy your visit to Zimbabwe?  My response was very much.  I was then asked to please come back and tell the people in the United States to come visit our country!"  Personally I feel this country is on the come back!

Dave Powers - Zimbabwe Tuskless Elephant SafariWe welcome the opportuntiy to host you on a first class safari in our beautiful camp on the banks of the Deka River.  Our hunting area borders Zimbabwe's largest National Park and game reserve.  Hwange, pronounced "Wanke".  This game reserve is 14,700 square kilometers with over 90 species of mammals and 400 species of birds recorded.  Hwange is home to one of the world's largest elephant populations.  Our area also shares boundaries with the famous Matetsi Unit 4 safari area.  We welcome both archery and gun hunters.

In addition to the Plainsgame listed here we have Cape Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard and Lion on annual quota.  This area is easily reached with daily jet service into Victoria Falls International airport.  We will meet you upon arrival into Vic Falls and transport you to camp a short 45 minutes drive away.  No long drives or private air charters are required.  The following daily rates, trophy fees and associated fees are current for the 2011 Safari season.  We welcome you to Impondo Safaris.
